About Paramount Nutrition
I'm Liz Pilling, and I help people who are struggling with energy, stress and weight issues, even when they feel like they have tried everything before. Book a Free Call Work With MeI am on a mission to empower people to gain a fresh understanding of nutrition and make informed decisions on their diet and lifestyle choices, so they can get back their confidence and make the changes they need for a nourished, balanced and fulfilled life.
What is nutritional therapy?
Nutritional therapy uses food and nutrition to promote health, prevent and manage diseases, and optimise overall well being. It is a holistic and evidence-based approach that recognises the powerful impact of diet and lifestyle on an individual’s health. In my practice, I apply the latest research and hypotheses from health sciences to create a plan to support your needs, this can include diet, lifestyle and (if necessary) supplements. Sometimes I may recommend testing in order to gain more information to refine the plan and target specific problem areas. I also use health coaching tools to help you put ideas into practice in a meaningful way, or to break through carriers that may have held you back in the past.
I have struggled for most of my adult life with weight and stress issues, I’ve tried every fad diet going and have lost and regained so much weight it’s ridiculous.
I have always loved food and spent a lot of time in the kitchen as a child, young adult, wife and then mum, but it wasn’t until I began training as a Nutritional Therapist that I came to understand the real impact food and the way it is cooked can have on our bodies. Learning that there are so many different issues which affect our metabolism, and that my chronic stress was only compounding the issue was literally life changing, add to that the nutrigenomic testing details and the pieces of the puzzle started coming together.
To hear that the “eat less, move more” mantra just doesn’t work for everyone (or even for most people) really blew my mind and left me wanting to change my own habits and share this with other people too. I have finally got my blood sugar under control, which was a huge challenge, and take daily steps to minimise my stress, which has revolutionised my life as I’m no longer hangry all the time, or craving that one biscuit (and then eating the whole packet!). Knowing my triggers, and my genetic weaknesses has made such a huge difference to my wellness journey.
More recently I’ve struggled with long Covid, and the challenge of daily life limiting fatigue, and have seen the impact that this has had on all areas of my health and wellbeing.
I have been fortunate to know the power of targeted nutrition and lifestyle coaching which has helped my recovery, so that I am now able to support others. In the early days of my recovery I found that growing my own produce at home gave me something productive and healthy to focus on, now it’s something that the whole family enjoy, even the tortoise (you can follow my gardening journey on TikTok and Instagram).
I have a very down to earth approach to my nutritional therapy. I like to understand what my clients want to achieve, what they like and don’t like, and what obstacles might get in the way.
This enables me to coach them effectively, but also to work with them to create a plan that will fit into their life. The aim is to have something that is sustainable, so adding in lots of kale and liver if you can’t stand either is never going to motivate you to stick to it, however healthy they both might be. It’s important to be aware that progress with some metabolic issues can take time. I find that working with my clients over a number of weeks or months is the best way to support them to eat well and transform their health.
Some clients like to work in my group programmes, with weekly live contact and education, as well as daily group interaction, which can be very beneficial to support metabolic problems such as weight loss and blood sugar management, and making lifestyle changes.
Others like the more personalised approach of 1 to 1 consultations, where we take a deep diving into all your health issues and work on underlying causes which may be sabotaging your path to wellness. Whichever path you choose I am there every step of the way to encourage and provide education, advice and accountability.
I’d love to connect with you and help you work out how to get you to the life you want to be living. Book a FREE health and energy strategy call with me and we can get started straight away.

Outside of work I am a mum to 2 young people, 2 dogs and a tortoise.
I enjoy trips to York to visit one at university and love watching my youngest in performances in their band and in local youth theatre.
I love my garden and reading cookery books, and my happy place is anywhere in my van where I can see the trees and water. My partner and I both love cooking and often fight over who is going to cook – but surprisingly never who is going to clean up!
